HERE I AM
The second single and music video lifted from the album Passing Strangers.
Directed by San Remo Flim Maker Simon Moule.
The soulful and heartfelt ballad springs a well of emotion and speaks to anyone on a journey of mourning and self-reflection. In 'Here I Am', Howard laments; "Time moves slowly when you hold me, could time stand still somehow?" The song also features the haunting backing vocals of singer/songwriter and fellow Island native, Maddy May.
The second single from his debut album, 'Passing Strangers', marks Howard’s desire to connect with and understand the human condition, relating to all kinds of listeners through his music. “Here I Am” is a melodic illustration of how we can all come together through loss and despair.
PICK ME UP
The first single and music video lifted from the album Passing Strangers.
Directed by Tom Lowe with Polygraph Productions.
"Pick Me Up was one of the first songs written for the album, Passing Strangers. It was really a cry for help during a very uncertain time in not just mine but everyone's life. The cry was answered through music and the creative process. I really wanted the song to sound like it was spontaneously coming from a band in a room.
Most of what you hear was done in the first take. We had the opportunity to lay down some hammond organ over the top and I just love how the swirling, swampy, dreamy tones dance between all the other instruments. The process of recording was very therapeutic and I'm glad it's out there in the world." - Mark Howard
